A Luxurious Stay at Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder: An Immersive Cultural Experience

Nestled within the sovereign Native American land of the Pueblo of Pojoaque, the Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder offers a stay that is both luxurious and deeply rooted in cultural heritage. From August 16th to 19th, we had the pleasure of staying in one of the hotel’s exquisite suites, perfectly timed with the 100th anniversary of the Indian Market Festival in Santa Fe’s Plaza. This historic event, recognized as the oldest of its kind in the country, drew over 100,000 visitors that weekend. The festivities extended to the hotel itself, with the Indigenous Market Festival held on-site, making our stay a unique blend of comfort, culture, and art.

One of the greatest advantages of staying at Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder is its proximity to Santa Fe’s cultural landmarks. The hotel is just a short drive away from the Santa Fe Opera House, making it incredibly convenient to enjoy a night of world-class performances. We took full advantage of this, enjoying a delightful dinner at Geronimo with our friends Sharon and Dee Maloof before heading to the Santa Fe Opera for a mesmerizing performance of Don Giovanni. The evening was filled with elegance and culture, a perfect reflection of Santa Fe’s artistic spirit.

A Rejuvenating Spa Experience

After days filled with exploration and cultural immersion, I treated myself to a rejuvenating spa day at the hotel’s luxurious Wo’ P’in Spa. The serene atmosphere, coupled with a range of wellness treatments, provided the perfect way to unwind and recharge. The spa offers a holistic experience that is in harmony with the natural surroundings, allowing you to relax in the embrace of the tranquil New Mexican landscape.

I booked myself the perfect "Deep Water Flow Facial" during our stay at the hotel. My esthetician did a fantastic job relaxing me; she made me fell asleep. She had amazing hands.

The spa features a variety of treatments inspired by Native American healing traditions, including massages, facials, and body therapies. The signature treatments use locally sourced ingredients like blue corn, sage, and juniper, connecting you with the spirit of the region.
