A frenzy of art for Frieze Week Los Angeles
From February 15th to 20th, 2023, Los Angeles welcomed the fourth edition of the prestigious art fair Frieze with more than 120 exhibitors from 22 different countries.
Since the arrival of Frieze in 2018, the city has seen an influx of galleries, and the art scene is booming. We had the chance to visit the fairs happening during what is referred to as “Frieze week” and here are some highlights.

Los Angeles Art Show
The LA Art Show, the LA longest-running art fair, held its 28th edition at the Los Angeles Convention Center with over 120 galleries.
The fair showcased some well known artists such as Richard Orlinski or Carole Feuerman’s hyper-realistic sculptures represented by the French owned and Miami based gallery Markowicz Fine Art. Visitors could also enjoy artwork by actor Val Kilmer at Fabrik Projects alongside some emerging artists.
If you missed the fair in person, the LA Art Show continues on Artsy through March 5th.

Felix Art Fair
The fifth edition of Felix Art Fair took place at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel with an international roster of 60+ galleries occupying both the poolside cabanas and two Tower floors with two galleries from Paris the Sultana Gallery and the Fitzpatrick Gallery.
Founded five years ago by collector Dean Valentine and dealers Al and Mills Morán, Felix L.A. has gained a reputation for being a more relaxed and intimate fair than Frieze L.A., which runs at the same time.
